3 Libras
Threw you the obvious
And you flew with it on your back
A name in your recollection
Down among a million same
Difficult not to feel a little bit
Disappointed and passed over
When I've looked right through
See you naked but oblivious
And you don't see me
Well I threw you the obvious
Just to see if there's more behind the
Eyes of a fallen angel
Eyes of a tragedy
Here I am expecting just a little bit
Too much from the wounded
But I see
See through it all
See through
And see you
Cos I threw you the obvious
To see what occurs behind the
Eyes of a fallen angel
Eyes of a tragedy
Oh well..
Oh well..
Apparently nothing
Apparently nothing at all
(4x)
You don't
You don't
You don't see me
You don't see
You don't
You don't see me at all

Beautiful song with beautiful lyrics.
The lyrics for the song is pretty deep and abstract and each will have their own interpretation of the lyrics. Here's my take on it.
Basically, the song is about how disappointed one feels when his loved one overlooks him and doesn't see him at all.
'Obvious' here seems to refer to the singer's love for the other person, as in it's pretty obvious that he is in love with her. The singer makes it obvious that he loves the other person. So 'threw you the obvious' seems to be saying 'I told you the obvious, that I love you'.
But his name is just another name to her along with all the other names that hold no significance to her.
Fallen angel, tragedy and wounded refers to her. It seems like she got hurt in a past relationship which is the reason why she seems to be overlooking and passing him over, perhaps for the fear of getting hurt again, thus she is wounded. A fallen angel used to be an angel, a being filled with optimism but has now been corrupted to a being filled with pessimism. This could represent her, in that her optimistic view on relationships had been corrupted by that particular relationship and now she views relationships in a pessimistic light. She is now, in essence, a tragedy.
He's been throwing her the obvious to see her response but evidently he's been expecting too much from her because in the end, her response according to him is "apparently nothing, apparently nothing at all".
Ok, I better stop before the slitting begins and the blood starts to flow.
Remember kids, down the road, not across the street.
