The Godfather Liverpool - Arsenal Trilogy

Part I and II of the trilogy which ended in draws has set the stage up for a exciting Part III and conclusion to the Liverpool - Arsenal trilogy.

Two draws at the Emirates Stadium and with the last leg at Anfield has left me fancying our chances of making it to the semi-finals of the Champions League. Liverpool can't take things for granted though, as Arsenal have shown in the last round against AC Milan that they have what it takes.

Winning at the San Siro is no easy feat and Arsenal will be boosted by that fact going into tonight's game with the conditions pretty similar to their previous round against AC Milan (1st leg home draw, going into the 2nd legs as slight underdogs and at an intimidating stadium) but this time it's not the San Siro
that we're talking about (despite it being an intimidating stadium in its own right). Instead, this is Anfield.

A FA Cup and League Cup match at Anfield last season has Adebayor saying he knows what to expect at Anfield tonight. Oh boy. He's in for a surprise. FA Cup, League Cup and Premiership matches are nothing compared to European nights at Anfield. European nights is what Anfield is all about.

Let's hope Anfield can produce another one of those magical European nights again.
