Amazing

Amazing. Fucking amazing. Another dramatic night at Anfield, another European win for Liverpool.

For a minute, Walcott and Adebayor thought they had become the heroes of the night. Literally so. A minute, it only lasted a minute. And that's all it takes for ecstasy to turn to agony. A single minute. Bloody hell.

If they were any heroes, I thought Skrtel was incredible. He was a rock. How many clearances did he make? I lost count. He has settled down very quickly at Liverpool. And then there was Gerrard. Nerves of steel baby...nerves of steel. And need I mention Torres? He's on the highway to cult status at Anfield, if he isn't there already.

Next stop, Chelsea. Can you believe it? Bloody hell, three times in the past four years at the semi-final stage. Well, we've done it twice, let's make it a hat-trick. And the past two times we've played against them, we've made it to the final. Good omens.

Commentators were saying Arsenal were hard done by the penalty. It was a penalty in my opinion. There wasn't really that much contact, I've seen penalties not given for more contact than that (Kuyt in the previous leg springs to mind, but that's a different story which I'll touch on later). But at the pace Babel was going, that amount of body contact is going to make him lose his balance. Penalty.

As for Kuyt who almost gave away a penalty in the previous leg, my opinion is that it should have been given. Liverpool were lucky on that occasion.
